William Hamm

William Hamm received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan. He began government service in the Federal Office of Management and Budget serving from 1969 to 1977. He eventually became the Deputy Associate Director responsible for analysis of programs and policy administration for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Labor and Veterans Administration. From 1977 to 1986, as the California Legislative Analyst, he directed a staff of 90 providing fiscal analysis and advice to the Legislature on all aspects of State government. He has held his post as Vice President at World Savings since 1986.
